Pierogies are a delicious "old world" treat which started in Eastern Europe in the late 1800's and have been served as a side dish ever since. The Poles, call them pierogis, which translated into English means "small pies". Ours are tender rounds of light, tasty pasta dough filled with either potato and cheddar cheese or a potato onion mixture blended with other natural ingredients and spices.
